OPEN CALL! LOOKING FOR A JOURNALIST with language skills: Romani, Czech, and English/German

Last year, during a study trip to the Czech Republic, I met Roma people through a photo project and started a series of family portraits. Now I am determined to continue working on it and, through photographic and journalistic approaches, to find a format together with the families to give their story a voice. Of course, I need help with this, because I want to intensely engage with the stories of the people, and that doesn’t work without language. So I am looking for a project partner to accompany me to the Czech Republic. It is important to me to …

Completely Utopian!

– a pataphysical series of experiments on the impossible Utopias designate non-places, i.e. ways of existence that may have been imagined, but have not yet been realized or cannot be realized: They are spaces of thought and imagination that advance into the unknown and initially remain incomprehensible, simply because they do not allow any sensory experience. Comparable to utopias, design acts are also expected to reach into unknown areas – i.e. to make something thinkable and experienceable that was not accessible until then. Students from the Design Department of FH-Dortmund and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne have explored the …

Art in the Time of Crisis

This year’s Artists Gathering in Fez, Morocco, has an exciting theme: Art in the Time of Crisis. If we don’t talk about it now, when will we?! Omar Chennafi, the founder of the Gathering, has invited international artists and theorists to discuss the topic from various perspectives from January 12-14. Together with Pascual Jordan, I planned a diverse group exhibition in the exhibition team that can show examples and contribute to the discourse. We look forward to critical, emotional, abstract and conceptual art on the theme of “Art in the Time of Crisis.”   https://news.artnet.com/art-world/exhibition-fez-gathering-art-crisis-792767 More information at: www.fezgathering.com Press …
