Cooperation?
Together with social service providers and cultural institutions, I am happy to take care of financial support so that the workshops are available to participants free of charge. If you have an idea, a location, or a group, please contact me.

I have already implemented funded workshops for the Bürgerzentrum Ehrenfeld, the Photoszene Köln, the Museumsdienst Köln, and the PhotobookMuseum.
For example, workshops with the titles: “Bunt vor Grau”, “Klimagefühle”, “BankBaumBeton” were created. I like to develop location- or project-related offers. I can adapt these to different technical and practical knowledge as well as language skills. In the joint project development, my wish is to invite all participants to participate in the design. This can be expressed in different ways – up to the realization of a participative art project with an open, joint process.
I consciously pay attention to low barriers to entry and, at the same time, through my work as a photography lecturer at the University of Bonn, I can integrate media-critical perspectives and discourses, provided that these are initiated by the participants. I enjoy conveying photography as an access to one’s own ideas or concepts.

Self-description:
My diverse experience with different people in teaching and education has made me flexible and, above all, curious – curious about what we can learn from each other with the help of photography. For me, photography is a language that allows me to get to know my own view of the world again and again and to deal with it attentively. My approaches are influenced by art and media education and value the process equally to impressive visual results at the end of a workshop. Exercises from my own artistic research photography appear again and again as small impulses. My own experience with photography is an important source for a versatile workshop design.
I myself perceive photography as a calming section of a chaotic world.
In participatory installations and actions in public space, I like to integrate photography to enable access via one’s own visual experience and to set a focus. Here you can find insights into these actions:

analog photography?
As part of my teaching at the University of Bonn, I built a box camera and now offer workshops with this camera. I am currently using it primarily with students at the University of Bonn in the media practice of photography. I would now like to start offering workshops with it in other contexts. Working with this camera makes the photographic process clear and tangible, as everything happens in one box: photographing, developing, and marveling.
Brief description:
We portray each other and make small collages and works of art from them.
6h workshop for 3 people, no previous knowledge, but some patience is required.
The workshop is suitable for adults.
Costs: 600.00 Euro (gross) incl. material

Experiments with the box camera have many mysterious steps
- set up the image upside down and mirrored
- focus
- estimate exposure time
- insert paper in the dark
- expose
- develop paper in the dark with one hand
- fix, water
- rejoice

Perspectives?
With a collection of mirrors, we go to discover new corners.
Brief description:
We bring together perspectives that actually exist far away from each other. In our pictures, they become a new image of the connection between space and light.
I’ll bring my mirror collection and we’ll move around the houses.
This offer is suitable as group and teamwork. The best pictures are created when new things can be discovered from different angles. You can find examples here!
4h workshop for 8 people, no previous knowledge is necessary.
Costs: 600.00 Euro (gross) incl. material
